In town on business and always looking for a good cocktail spot. Walking over from the hotel into what felt like a genuine “cocktail cellar” was an experience in and of itself. Beyond just creative cocktails and diverse options, the sole bartender on duty Elle was killing it. Not only did she know her stuff and keep up with demand while running solo, she was also incredibly pleasant and treated everyone with a great attitude.

Themed drinks (was Halloween themed for us) , they were very different but the service was awesome and the atmosphere was really amazing Alexa the fortune teller makes some awesome zombie mugs and Yates the Wolfman knows his drinks. Had an awesome evening thanks to them. Cheers to both of yall!

Oh Em Gee... Pilcrow is soooo cool. You walk into a sort of hidden doorway and down the steps into the cool basement bar that's an instant relief from the heat outside. The bartenders are awesome about helping with drink recommendations. I wanted something with Mezcal and he whipped up the perfect drink for me. We had a group and were able to be seated together and they were great about checking on us. Really loved the drink selection, ambiance and excellent service. This is another place I plan to return to again and again.

I went during the holiday season, and the vibe was goth but upscale—dark, moody, and effortlessly cool. It is a queer-friendly spot with great service and a staff that knows their craft. The drinks? Complex, flavorful, and actually interesting. If you’re into a bar that feels intimate and dramatic in the best way, this is it.

Hands down the best cocktail lounge in Bham!! From the moment you walk down the steps, to the time spent in your booth, & even on the busiest day, the staff is always extremely friendly & welcoming. You can feel that everyone in there wants you to have a wonderful, fun experience. Not to mention, the espresso martinis are phenomenal.

this is probably one of the coolest, sexiest bars in existence. atmosphere is phenomenal, bartenders are amazing, and drinks are phenomenal. make sure to try anything off of their seasonal menu!! every seat in this spot is conducive to private conversation, personal or professional. huge shout out to YATES who always curates a great time and has the best limericky last calls

Arrived here around 7 pm on a Saturday and there was a lot of empty seating. Service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is fun. Prices reasonable for what they provide. If you are a cocktail connoisseur (I am not 🤷‍♀️🙂) they no longer smoke the rims of the glasses of old fashioned s like they used to.

Be still, my blackened, cobwebbed heart. This place sent me. The drinks were very creative and I got full on two cocktails. There were a hundred photo ops bc it was like a goth museum

Simply a must visit place if you’re in bham. Excellent service & drinks are always spectacular. Menu is constantly changing & their seasonal Christmas/Halloween operation is definitely worth the visit. Whether you sit at the bar by yourself or in a private booth with friends this is the place to be!
